EMS DolorClast® High Power Laser Therapy
The EMS DolorClast® High Power Laser is a Class IV near-infrared laser that uses a precisely chosen 905 nm wavelength to deliver light energy deep into the body — up to 120 mm beneath the skin. Unlike standard low-level lasers, it operates at a peak power of 300 watts, making it 15 times more powerful and capable of reaching the deep musculoskeletal structures where pain and injury actually originate.
At 905 nm, the laser sits within the “therapeutic window” — the range where light passes through water, blood, and skin without being absorbed or causing heat damage. Once it reaches the target tissue, it activates the mitochondria inside cells, boosting energy production and triggering a cascade of natural healing responses including improved circulation and tissue repair.
The treatment produces two key effects. Within 5 minutes of a session, pain signals from nerve receptors are reduced — providing fast, drug-free relief that lasts up to 72 hours. At the same time, the laser reduces levels of Prostaglandin E2, a key driver of inflammation, mimicking the effect of anti-inflammatory medication without any of the side effects or systemic risks.
It is used to treat a broad range of conditions including tendinopathies, plantar fasciopathy, spinal pain, osteoarthritis, sports injuries, and myofascial pain. At Cornerstone, it is also used in combination with shockwave therapy as part of the Guided DolorClast® protocol — a sequence that significantly amplifies the effectiveness of both treatments for complex or chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
